Martin Garrix
This dream of you
Released on October 2, 2026,“This Dream of You” is an emotional progressive house track that reveals a particularly personal side of Martin Garrix.
The story of the single began on July 17, when Martin opened his Tomorrowland Belgium mainstage set with its striking orchestral introduction. The moment immediately caught the attention of fans, but it was not until September 17, during his show at Ushuaïa Ibiza, that he premiered the track in its complete form. After several acoustic performances and teasers shared in the weeks that followed, one of the summer’s most anticipated IDs finally received its official release.
“This Dream of You” opens with an ethereal symphony before gradually unfolding into the uplifting and euphoric sound that has become one of Garrix’s signatures. Beyond its production, the track stands out for another reason: Martin is also the voice behind the song. Following his vocal debut on “Catharina,” he takes another step forward by placing his own vocals at the heart of the record, supported by delicate, airy textures.
The lyrics explore the hope and comfort that can be found in another person when everything else feels uncertain. This deeply personal emotion is captured in the line “this dream of you is my way of coping,” giving the track an intimate character that sets it apart within Martin’s discography.
” “This Dream of You is a really special one for me. Singing is very far outside of my comfort zone, but I’ve been wanting to push myself, try new things and keep learning. I first played the track as my intro at Tomorrowland, which made that moment even more personal, and I’m so excited to finally share the full song with everyone. Having my own voice at the center of one of my productions is something I never thought I’d do, so this release means a lot to me.””

Morning, why am I dreaming of falling?
Not afraid of the sky
Was all in my mind, now I’m falling for you
You’re smiling, and I can feel you arriving
This is the night of rebirth
A message from Earth telling me what to do
This dream of you is my way of coping
It’s not just us, the world is broken
About time that these words were spoken
I’ll leave them right here in the open
Tonight, I’ve taken to this notion
That you’re my one true love’s devotion
I’ll take my chance, now it’s the moment
I can’t lose now, it’s you I’ve chosen
I can’t lose now, it’s you I’ve chosen
(It’s you I’ve chosen, it’s you I’ve chosen, it’s you I’ve chosen, it’s you I’ve chosen)
(It’s you I’ve chosen, it’s you I’ve chosen)
I can’t lose now, it’s you I’ve chosen
I got this dream of you
Meaning, now I’m finally breathing
Every scar says it all
There’s a door in the wall, I’ll meet you there
Fading, the Polaroids are my paintings
Colors evaporate
Darkness creates the light where we can be born
This dream of you is my way of coping
It’s not just us, the world is broken
About time that these words were spoken
I’ll leave them right here in the open
Tonight, I’ve taken to this notion
That you’re my one true love’s devotion
I’ll take my chance, now it’s the moment
I can’t lose now, it’s you I’ve chosen
I can’t lose now, it’s you I’ve chosen
(It’s you I’ve chosen, it’s you I’ve chosen) It’s you
(It’s you I’ve chosen, it’s you I’ve chosen) It’s you
(It’s you I’ve chosen, it’s you I’ve chosen)
