Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran - Repeat It
After more than 11 years of waiting, “Repeat It” is finally out.

Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran officially released the long-awaited collaboration on May 15, 2026, ending one of the most legendary unreleased stories in the Garrix community. First premiered during Martin’s sets back in 2015, the track quickly became one of the most requested unreleased songs among fans over the years.

The hype around the release exploded throughout the past weeks. Martin and Ed recreated their iconic 2015 photo together, while several viral teasers appeared online, including a reel showing Martin trying to FaceTime Ed to ask him to finally release the track. Billboard campaigns teasing the collaboration also appeared shortly before release day.

On May 14, during his 30th birthday, Martin officially confirmed that “Repeat It” would be released at midnight as a birthday gift to the fans.

The artwork for “Repeat It” was created by contemporary artist Werner Bronkhorst, known for his textured abstract paintings featuring hyper-realistic miniature characters. Born in South Africa and now based in Australia, Bronkhorst built a massive audience online through his instantly recognizable style, combining thick sculptural paint textures with tiny detailed human figures placed inside large-scale abstract environments. The cover of “Repeat It” perfectly reflects this artistic universe, featuring the iconic repeat emoticon while miniature versions of Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran appear within the artwork. The visual stays faithful to Bronkhorst’s signature aesthetic, mixing minimalist composition, textured surfaces and ultra-realistic details, giving the single artwork a unique identity that quickly became part of the release’s viral rollout.

The release arrives while Martin Garrix is currently in his “Americas Tour”, the tour will continue with two sold-out shows in Santiago and Buenos Aires before heading back to the US later this month.

Last weekend, Martin already surprised fans by playing “Repeat It” during his show at The Gorge. The night also featured a special guest appearance by Benson Boone, one of the biggest global pop artists of the moment.

The celebrations are not slowing down anytime soon, as Martin is also set to headline the Grand Opening Weekend of the new OMNIA Dayclub in Las Vegas on May 17.

More than a decade after its first live plays, “Repeat It” has finally become reality.
