Martin Garrix & Justin Mylo
Burn Out
feat. Dewain Whitmore
After collaborating on Bouncybob, Dutch producer Justin Mylo teamed up once again with Martin Garrix for Burn Out, released on September 14, 2018 through STMPD RCRDS.
The track features American singer Dewain Whitmore and had been in development since early 2017. Martin Garrix had already played early versions of the song during his set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami in March 2017, giving fans a first glimpse of the record long before its official release.
Blending melodic house elements with an uplifting vocal performance, Burn Out highlights the musical chemistry between Garrix and Justin Mylo. The track marked another step in the evolution of STMPD RCRDS’ sound, moving further into melodic and emotional territory while keeping the festival energy that defined many of Garrix’s productions.
The official music video follows a young man who enters a laundromat and notices a girl. Curious, he steps into a washing machine that suddenly opens into a hidden world. As the girl follows him, the two characters travel through a series of surreal environments and alternate realities. Martin Garrix appears briefly in the clip. The video was produced as part of an AXE campaign, a brand partnership Garrix was involved in during the fall of 2018.

Flash fire, I’m coming for ya
You’re gonna fill me like the summer, like the sun in your eyes
Hold tight, another minute
Another hour, baby
I’ma show you you can rely on me
I’ll give you all you need
In a smoke cloud, tryin’ to find ground
In the place where we belong
We don’t have to dream to make it beautiful
Baby, everything we do is beautiful
We can light a fire, watch it everglow
We won’t burn out, we won’t burn out
We won’t burn out, we won’t burn out
We won’t burn out, we won’t burn
out
Won’t take a million dollars For us to have a kind of life you only see in a dream
Wake up, ’cause now you’re in it
I wanna show you all the magic in the air
And tonight it’s free
It’ll be all you need
In a smoke cloud, tryin’ to find ground
In the place where we belong
We don’t have to dream to make it beautiful
Baby, everything we do is beautiful
We can light a fire, watch it everglow
We won’t burn out, we won’t burn out
We won’t burn out, we won’t burn out
We won’t burn out, we won’t burn out
We won’t burn out, we won’t burn out
Burn Out era snapshots
