Martin Garrix and Matisse & Sadko
Dragon
Released on July 6, 2015, Dragon marks another collaboration between Martin Garrix and Matisse & Sadko, a duo closely connected to his progressive sound.
Built as a pure instrumental, the track focuses entirely on melody and energy. With its uplifting chords and powerful drop, Dragon fits perfectly into the progressive house direction Garrix was developing at the time, especially in
his festival sets.
Around the same period, the collaboration continues with
Break Through The Silence, released one week later on July 13, 2015. The two tracks are often associated, both musically and visually, as part of the same creative phase.
The official video released in that timeframe follows a more narrative approach, showing a group of young people moving through urban settings and nightlife scenes. The visuals extend across both tracks, creating a shared atmosphere
rather than focusing on a single storyline.
Simple and effective, Dragon remains one of those instrumental tracks that helped define the early Garrix and Matisse & Sadko signature, built around melody, progression, and pure festival energy.
