There’s something instantly familiar about Loop. Not because you’ve heard it before, but because it captures a feeling almost everyone knows, going back to something that never really works, yet never really ends.
Released on July 8, 2022, Loop brings together Martin Garrix, DallasK and Sasha Alex Sloan. The collaboration had been in the works for years, dating back to DallasK’s remix of In the Name of Love in 2016. This time, they reunite on a track that leans fully into emotion rather than pure energy.
The production stays minimal and controlled, built around a steady rhythm and soft melodic layers. Nothing feels forced. The space is left for Sasha Alex Sloan’s vocal, which carries the entire weight of the story. Her delivery is honest and restrained, perfectly matching the theme of repeating breakups and makeups.
Garrix had already been playing the track in his sets for a while before its release, and the reaction was there from the start. It works differently in a live context, less explosive, more immersive, a moment where the crowd connects to the lyrics as much as the sound.

The official music video, directed by Damian Karsznia, translates that idea into a visual loop. Set in Las Vegas, it follows a woman going through what seems like a normal night out. Streets, clubs, encounters, everything feels real at first. But each time the night reaches its end, it resets. She finds herself back at the beginning, reliving the same sequence again and again. Garrix and DallasK appear throughout the journey, reinforcing that strange, dreamlike repetition.
Loop doesn’t try to be a festival anthem in the traditional sense. It sits somewhere else, more introspective, more relatable. A track about patterns you can’t break, even when you know exactly how the story goes.
