Martin Garrix & Dubvision

Empty

feat. Jaimes

Empty closes the IDEM series with a more emotional tone. Martin Garrix reunites with DubVision, alongside Jaimes on vocals, for a track that leans into melody and atmosphere.

First played during ADE 2023, the track quickly became a standout moment in his sets. It carries that recognizable progressive sound, uplifting chords, a wide drop and a vocal that brings everything together.

There is a sense of release in Empty. After the intensity of the previous tracks, it feels more open, more reflective, while still keeping the energy needed for a closing moment.

As the final release of the four, it completes the IDEM picture. A track made to stay with you after the set ends.

I’m stuck in this state of mind
Draining every stream of light
Don’t know if I’m still alive

Only dark skies on the border
There’s no sunshine shining ’round the corner
It’s a dead end in a lost space
Finding out the harder way would be a mistake

So don’t you try to save me, it’s not worth the fight
You don’t wanna know what keeps me up at night
Don’t you try to change me, it’s a waste of time
Don’t reach for my heart, it’s empty inside

It’s empty inside
Don’t reach for my heart

Don’t reach for my heart
It’s empty inside

Dreams, nothing’s evеr what it seems
Trapped inside this make-bеlieve
Wish you knew you’re in too deep

Only dark skies on the border
There’s no sunshine shining ’round the corner
It’s a dead end in a lost space
Finding out the harder way would be a mistake

So don’t you try to save me, it’s not worth the fight
You don’t wanna know what keeps me up at night
Don’t you try to change me, it’s a waste of time
Don’t reach for my heart, it’s empty inside

Don’t reach for my heart
It’s empty inside

Don’t reach for my heart
It’s empty inside
