Martin Garrix is a powerful influencer thanks to his huge fan base (in early 2019 he was followed by more than 8 million on Twitter, 15 million on Facebook and 16 million on Instagram). No wonder so many want him as a brand ambassador. Yet Martin is careful to only support brands he feels connected to.
Amimals’ instantly recognisable “tick-tock” theme had become widely known when Martin Garrix agreed to represent luxury watch maker TagHeuer in August 2015. To demonstrate their watches’ waterproof qualities, the #DontCrackUnderThePressure campaign featured images of diving into the waters around Ibiza. To truly understand the brand Martin visited the TagHeuer workshop in Switzerland on 2nd October 2015. A Martin Garrix watch was launched the following year.
At the end of winter 2016 Martin Garrix featured in a 7UP advertising campaign with his hero and mentor DJ Tiësto. To mark the occasion, the two producers recorded a video ad in Nevada, USA and participated in several promotional events. This campaign also featured 7UP cans decorated with a picture of Martin Garrix. As part of this partnership he organised a concert for deaf people: a dedicated piece of work using bass sounds and vibrations.
In July 2017 Martin Garrix became the latest face to feature in an Armani Exchange campaign. “For me, Armani Exchange is elegance and is forward looking. The clothes I wore for the photo shoot, I would wear them all the time because they are comfortable, refreshing and unique, while remaining elegant and classical,” he said. After autumn 2017 Martin Garrix committed himself to the brand’s 2018 and 2019 campaigns. He also regularly participated in launch events of new collections and new shops.
In September 2018 Martin decided to join up with the men’s cosmetic and hygiene products brand Axe for their new campaign. This featured a video entitled “Burn Out”, and the promotion of the “Axe/Martin Garrix” deodorant in the Netherlands. However this is just the start, in the fall of 2019, a second videoclip will be released in collaboration with Axe.
Martin Garrix became JBL ambassador in the spring of 2021. He declared "“JBL has been my go-to audio brand for a while, so I’m super excited I can now call myself a global brand ambassador.” said Martin Garrix “I’m always surrounded by music, so to collaborate with them creatively is an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.” During the partnership, Martin will closely collaborate with JBL on product launches, events and campaigns. JBL has been Garrix’s audio companion for years.
